Something Strange is going on around Neptune

… and no, I’m not talking science fiction (and my C.A.T. series), but science fact here!

Not only have they discovered a mew new moon around Neptune, but one of its previously discovered moons, Naiad is behaving very oddly. Click here for more details.

They are now wondering if the whole of Neptune’s moon and ring system is unstable… I’m not that surprised, given that Triton is an interloper that in some 3.6 billion years will pass its Roche limit to either sink into Neptune’s atmosphere or break up to form a ring system, much like that we see around Saturn today.

Strange things happening in reality makes good fodder for science fiction, doesn’t it?

Jumping jeepers… it all adds to making stories around there even more interesting, doesn’t it? I could… nah… why should I write spoilers?

  1. Glad you enjoyed C.A.T. so much that you remembered it so well!

It does mean my story-telling has done it’s job…. now got that glow of warm satisfaction…

C.A.T. is now having one of his bouts of smugness… mrrrooowww!
